They do slightly admonish SF6's graphical options on PC and how they don't give any indication as to the performance impact like other RE Engine games including Resident Evil 4, and they weren't overly impressed by the high-end graphical scaling with the lack of ray tracing and texture streaming issues.Īs for easy ways to boost your performance, turn off screen-space reflections (and see a nearly 10% performance increase in some cases), use normal shadow quality, and turn VSync off.įor mid-range PCs, they reccomend turning the Battle Hub player count down to 40 instead of 60 for a nice boost, but options like sampling quality, mesh quality, and background object density do not seem to have much of an impact on performance. Without the shader pre-loading, they had frame stutters when running on their machine with an Nvidia 4090 GPU and Intel Core i9 CPU, so everyone benefits from turning that on. One of the first things the Digital Foundry guys point to is SF6's shader pre-compilation option, which seems to be a pretty much must-have for any PC, even those on the high-end.
